BIOGRAPHY

     I started playing guitar and writing music in the mid 1990's with a band called FREE DYRT located in Montana (our music can be found of Soundcloud). I moved back East in the year 2000, spent time in Nashville learning songwriting under the tutelage of HIT Songwriter Jason Blume at BMI, after a year I went  home to Washington DC to record my first solo album "Soul Coffee" (2004) under the stage name "Kitty Hawk".. I've been writing ever since. Now with 3 albums under my belt, adding “Spirit In The Snow” in (2016), and adding  “The Music In Me” in (2024) under the name Kitty Templeton.

 

     I have an Official Music Video for the song “Soul Coffee”, and a YouTube channel featuring some live music performances, cooking videos of my show “Cooking in Kitty’s Kitchen”, which I embarked on during the Pandemic, and miscellaneous videos of interesting people and places, my cat Moo, and my life.

     In the more recent years, I have delved into the world of poetry. I, with the Poetry group Poets on the Green Line located in Washington DC, published a collective book of poetry on AMAZON entitled Poems from the Green in 2023.
